Bryant Park Holiday Shops 2026: Dates, Hours & January Closing

Shopping at Bryant Park and skating there have different end dates. The Holiday Shops season is 28 October 2026–3 January 2027; the rink continues until 28 February 2027. Choose the shopping calendar when planning a Christmas-market visit.

Can you still shop after 3 January?

The full Holiday Shops season ends on 3 January. Selected shops may remain afterwards, but the park has not yet named its post-season selection. A February rink visit is not a promise of the complete Christmas market. Skating has separate timed reservations; rentals cost extra.

Why do other official pages show different dates?

The separate Holiday Shops page still refers to a 4 January 2026 closing and a 2025 directory. By 1 November, Urbanspace’s market page lists 28 October 2026–3 January 2027 and agrees with the park’s current dated timetable. Use the explicitly dated 2026–27 schedule and recheck before travelling; older background text on an official site can belong to a previous season.

What can you browse?

The market’s kiosks offer crafts, gifts and artisan food. Treat a shopping stop, a meal and a skating session as separate choices. Check the current directory if visiting for a particular maker; an archive photograph does not establish this year’s vendor list.

Getting to Bryant Park

The park is behind the New York Public Library between 40th and 42nd Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Its directions page lists B/D/F/M trains to 42nd Street–Bryant Park and the 7 to Fifth Avenue. Park access hours differ from shop trading hours; arriving early does not mean the kiosks are open.

For step-free access, the park’s accessibility guidance identifies mid-block entrances on 40th and 42nd Streets. It warns that the B/D/F/M Bryant Park station is not accessible and lists alternative nearby stations. Some kiosks have a step and require assistance. Check the current accessibility map and transport service before choosing a route.

Build a market visit around your date

Decide whether browsing, a specific stall or skating is the main reason for your trip. Save the relevant opening hours, then check the organiser’s latest notice on the day. Leave room to change plans if outdoor conditions affect access.

For a different shopping stop, compare our New York market directory and Union Square Greenmarket guide. The farmers market is a separate event from Union Square’s seasonal holiday market. For travel beyond the city, see the US and Canada Christmas-market comparison.

Sources and editorial method

Official sources researched on 28 October and rechecked on 1 November 2026. The park and Urbanspace now agree on the shopping season. The park’s separate older shop page retains previous-season text. This is source research, not an on-site report or ranking. The 28 October archive supports the historical noon opening announcement.
