The Vancouver Christmas Market is announced for 16 November–24 December 2026 at Jack Poole Plaza, 1055 Canada Place. It uses paid admission, with free entry for children aged six and under. Single-day tickets have a selected arrival window. Two dates deserve extra attention: the organiser’s own pages disagree about 4 December and the opening time on Christmas Eve.
2026 hours: choose the right part of the season
The official FAQ gives the following pattern. All times are local to Vancouver. The contact page agrees with most sessions but places the December changeover one day later.
| Date or period | Published hours | Check before travelling |
|---|---|---|
| 16 November–3 December | Mon–Fri 16:00–21:30; Sat–Sun 11:30–21:30 | Special events can have their own entry arrangements |
| 4 December | FAQ: 11:30–22:00; contact page: 16:00–21:30 | Conflicting start and end times |
| 5–18 December | Sun–Thu 11:30–21:30; Fri–Sat 11:30–22:00 | Choose the weekday correctly |
| 19–23 December | 10:00–22:00 daily | Extended-hours period |
| 24 December | FAQ: 11:30–18:00; contact page: 10:00–18:00 | Opening time conflicts; both end at 18:00 |
The contact timetable starts its second period on 5 December, while the FAQ starts it on 4 December. Do not silently average these times or assume one page is newer: neither displays a clear revision date. Confirm your intended arrival in the current booking calendar, and ask the organiser if the discrepancy affects your trip.
Tickets: an arrival window is different from a visit length
The current ticket portal describes a 30-minute arrival window for a single-day ticket and says visitors can stay after entering. Its terms state that late arrivals will not be accommodated. Book a realistic slot with travel time included; an arrival window does not reserve a parking space or remove every possible queue.
Prices and sale deadlines differ between the ticket portal and some of the organiser’s other pages. Check the current product, date and final checkout total rather than budgeting from an old search snippet. A season pass and a single-day ticket are different products. Consider how many visits you can realistically make before choosing; do not assume a pass automatically saves money for a one-off visit.
Children, access and the route to Jack Poole Plaza
The organiser says children six and under enter free without a ticket. The visit page identifies Waterfront Station as a nearby transit reference and a drop-off area at the foot of Howe Street. Check current transport and the entrance you need, especially if someone in your group needs a step-free route. A published accessibility description cannot answer every individual access question.
Save the venue name as well as the address. Agree on a meeting point and return plan before browsing. Food, drinks and separately ticketed activities need their own budget; admission information does not establish that every experience is included.
Is it open after Christmas?
The announced final day is 24 December. Do not plan a 25 December or New Year visit from photographs of an earlier season. The organiser’s 21 September 2026 announcement confirms the season and a Christmas Eve closing time of 18:00; it does not resolve the opening-time conflict on the contact page.
